The Contributions of New Americans in Montana

Montana is one of several states in the country that, while not boasting a huge foreign-born population, is increasingly drawing more immigrants now. In 2010, the state was home to less than 20,000 foreign-born residents. Between 2010 and 2014, that number grew by 19.1 percent—or more than three times as fast as the number of foreign-born residents increased in the country as a whole. Only three other states had higher rates of growth during that period.
