New American Economy Launches 15-State Ad Buy to Push DREAMer Legislation

New Six-Figure Ad Buy Targets Key Congressional States Like North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Directs Viewers to Demand Congressional Action

NEW YORK, NY – In effort to push Congress to quickly arrive at an immigration compromise that secures the fate of nearly 800,000 DACA recipients—and up to an additional one million DREAMers—living in the United States, New American Economy is launching a six-figure ad buy in 15 key states across the country. Check out coverage of the ad, which highlights the contributions of Dreamers to the U.S. economy and military, in the Washington Post.

“Dreamers can’t wait any longer,” said John Feinblatt, President of New American Economy. “The clock is ticking, and as momentum builds for a bipartisan solution in the Senate, Americans of every political stripe are sending a simple message to Washington: Protect Dreamers.”

The ad will run on local cable and network television stations across Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. It will direct constituents to iMarch.us, where a newly-launched State Hub provides contact information and sample scripts so that users that contact their lawmakers and push for bipartisan legislation to protect Dreamers.

Late last year, New American Economy launched the iMarch campaign for immigration reform with more than 100 partner organizations, including faith groups like the Ethics & Religions Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptists, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the National Association of Evangelicals; business groups like Pinterest, IBM, and the Information Technology Industry Council; Hispanic groups like Voto Latino and the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Council; and others, who helped host events in all 50 states in support of Dreamers. iMarch.us features immigration stories from all 435 Congressional districts.

NAE is also coordinating direct calls between local business, faith and conservative leaders and Members of Congress, as well as editorial board briefings, and other activities in key states and districts.
