Jewish Business News: Michael Bloomberg Backed Group Fights Donald Trump On Immigration

An organization led by billionaire philanthropist Michael Bloomberg is fighting back against President Donald Trump’s harsh immigration policies. The Partnership for a New American Economy is an advocacy group for immigration reform in America.

After the Federal courts struck down his travel ban on citizens of seven Muslim nations, Donald Trump declared his intention to issue a new reworded order. At the same time, America’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) has been cracking down on illegals immigrants. Its agents have been busy arresting for deportation undocumented people across the U.S., in accordance with new policies on immigration enforcement imposed by President Trump.

The new policies have been met with controversy and criticism, to say the least. And Michael Bloomberg’s Partnership for a New American Economy has been working hard to make a case for why the undocumented workers are actually good for the economy.

It is not surprising that Michael Bloomberg is spending money on an organization which fights against Donald Trump’s political policies. The former mayor of New York was a vocal critic of Donald Trump during the 2016 elections and even spoke at the Democratic convention in spite of being a Republican.
